Not at all. We recommend that whenever you purchase the course, you begin watching the modules and familiarizing yourself with the EBW Approach and lessons. When you feel comfortable and confident with the concepts, then choose a convenient time in your curriculum calendar to begin implementing the EBW Approach. It will work best if you tie the approach into the beginning of a novel or short story unit. That way you can integrate an essential question at the start of the unit and have students gather evidence for their final Response to Literature (essay) as they read/analyze the selected text.
